Christmas on my mind...

 

 i love that song!

so lately christmas has been on my mind, a lot! i seriously can't wait for it. here is what i love:

mostly cookies ;)

And i just love spending time with my family. For the most part, i love the food, my family can cook. That doesn't help much because I gain about 10 pounds from eating so dang much! I love watching the little kids open their presents. As i got older i didn't really expect gifts coming my way. There was one point in life where we didn't have much money so ever since that point, i don't really care if i get gifts or not. I get blessed every day!!!! Last year was the first year in 5 years that we'd had a christmas tree. It was a fake one and it broke. So perhaps we'll have a REAL one this year! It's theme was purple, pink, and silver. It was cute, and i totally forgot to take a picture of it! :( I'll take one this year. 

Then it's new years! man, one year goes by really quick! This time last year, i was a bum with no job. This year i have a job, still a bum(in a differ way :P) hehe. I'm ready for the new year and for what God has in store for me. Thinkin' of making a new years resolution and sticking with it. So that's it for today!!

tomorrow is my dad's birthday!! thinking of baking some cupcakes for him.

80's..

so i been looking up ideas on what to wear for my 80's costume. My computer was running slow so I only got 2 pictures, how lame! 

the fashion is so vibrant and colorful. I love it! And you get to accessorize a lot.

I was thinking....

a high side-ponytail

bright hoop earrings

off the shoulder shirt(or jacket)

colorful bracelets and bangles(& all that..)

colored/black tights

maybe a skirt over it(don't know yet)

hmmm, bright SLIPPERS..or maybe if I find some kind of shoe

this coming week i will probably go thrift shopping....easy way to save my money! :)

i'm so excited. I knowthe "80's" style is like "old" for a halloween costume....but it doesnt matter what other people think. As long as YOU'RE having fun...nothin' matters!

thanksgiving.

Halloween is coming up and I don't really celebrate "halloween." But for church, we have an event called Pumpkin Patch. It's FUN!!!! And actually for this year, the childrens ministry team (us girls) are gonna dress as the "80's girls!" Kinda excited for that. Not sure how im gonna dress. 

But as I was saying, i don't really care for halloween, but im ALL about Thanksgiving, FOR SURE! I love thanksgiving! It's just being with my family, having a great FEAST, literally! I'm already looking at recipes, thinkin' about what to make. Not sure yet. 

And i mos def can't wait for CHRISTMAS. Thinking about listening to some c-mas songs tonight! :P getting all giddy bc i STINKEN LOOOOOVE christmas time. I didn't have such a great c-mas last year because my grandma passed away the day after c-mas! :( can't believe it's been almost a year! :'( 

This year shall be a good one :)!

lagging..

pretty much lagging on my blog. i've been so busy with church and work..and come to think of it, I will be busy this coming month. There is so many things going on in my life ;)! So i've started my new job on the 10th of this month and i LOVE it! Wanna know what i do all day from 2:00-530PM?! I sit down, watch kids eat their snack, help them with their homework, and watch them play with hula hoops, jump ropes, and basketballs. Oh and can't leave out YELLING my lungs out (sometimes...) at them!! I LOVE IT! what job could be any better than that.....well as of right now, haaa!

So about that collage, I started doing one, but then got over cutting out stuff from the magazines. Yeah, i know, i'm super lazy!!! Wow haven't been on here for a long time so i have lots of things going on in my head! haha because theres just so many upcoming events in my life!! yay!!! but on the FOOD side of my blog, here is what i ate for dinner...

my tummy has been satisfied!! wooo!

i'm thinking of making a collage out of all the Allure, People, and Shape/Fitness magazines. I'm super bored today..so i think that's what i'll spend my time doing. I'll show you the end result....
